We respectfully ask for your help to free an innocent man from jail. Robert has been in custody for over a year now. Robert is being wrongfully accused of a tragic murder that occurred in early January 2022.

This injustice has caused him to be away from his kids and family. They all miss him terribly. It is heartbreaking to hear his children ask when he will be home without having a realistic answer to give them.

Robert has no criminal record. The justice system is failing him considerably, and this injustice will have a significant effect on his life moving forward.

Initially, Robert was assigned a public defender to represent him in this case. Robert begged him to take the necessary steps to request a bail reduction from the outset. The public defender failed to obtain the necessary discovery from the prosecutor's office. Consequently, Robert was not provided the opportunity to review the evidence that allegedly tied him to this case or to effectively prepare a defense strategy to exonerate him.

Thankfully, many of you graciously helped donate sufficient funds to hire a private attorney that has been diligently representing Robert. However, Robert still requires more assistance and support from you again.

Robert's bail remains at the excessive amount of $2 million, which he clearly cannot afford. The trial in this case was originally scheduled to begin on September 22, 2022, but has been continued 3 times at the request of the district attorney. The district attorney has requested these continuances to continue to build their case against Robert. Clearly, if they had the evidence tying Robert to the alleged crimes they would have been pushing to get the trial over with but they haven't.

This is a case of mistaken identity. When Robert was first arrested, police officers believed him to be the sole suspect that committed the heinous crime. However, the police quickly learned that when the alleged crime occurred, Robert was in Lancaster, California. The alleged crime occurred in Scottsdale, Arizona. Robert’s location was established through RING videos that conclusively show him at a house in Lancaster around the time of the alleged crime. There is also a receipt to show he made a stop to get gas at a gas station in Lancaster around that time. Law enforcement and prosecutors have long been in possession of this critical evidence. Despite this evidence, the District Attorney's office has disregarded it and continues to contend that Robert is somehow involved.

We are now having to come up with a new plan to raise the bail money and get Robert home so that he can fight for his freedom from the outside. We have two options:

Option 1: Raise enough money through private donations in order to get a check for $2 million issued to the clerk's office and get Robert released.
